Narrow the frame

Once we were happy they were where we wanted Ken did a great job stitching it back together

After removing the rivets the frame is able to be narrowed. We have measured and placed the body on the narrower rails to allow us to start placing the Z and to figure out ride height. Here are the rails brought together and welded to the rear crossmember.

The Bucket body is united with the frame, it's currently still stock width and will need the rivets holding the running board outriggers and the other mounts drilled out. They were installed hot 81 years ago and are pretty tough. After some practice they get quicker but not easier.

Some photo updates

Better and more pics coming, lots of updates but tonight I'm just posting some crappy camera phone pics, frame is inside, now we have to narrow it, make it fit the bucket and assemble the rest of the car.

Also started to restore the grill badge a bit.

Seats modeled to see how I like them

Really want some bomber seats but they are damn expensive, using original dimensions I made some barbie sized ones to see how I like the look. Then I blew them up into actual dimensions to make cardboard templates to transfer to metal.
